Alejandra I. Vilchis owns and operates her own family law and mediation firm in Chicago, IL since 2014. She has extensive experience in family law topics such as divorce, parentage, adoptions, and guardianships. A large percentage of her clients are primarily Spanish speaking, and she is proud to be able to provide legal services in their native language. She obtained her law degree from the University of Illinois Chicago Law School and attributes her passion for helping people to her kindhearted parents – two Mexican immigrants.

After earning her Horticulture degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003, Alejandra worked as a horticulturist and landscape designer for over ten years prior to starting her law career. She continues to enjoy plants and gardening in her own yard when she is not lawyering. In addition to running her own law firm, she is also co-owner of Moon Coffee Company LLC with her husband that, aside from selling coffee, highlights digital art collectibles. Her most recent personal achievement is establishing a memorial scholarship at UIUC in her late brother’s name which will be endowed within three years.
Attorney Vilchis was recognized on the 2023 Negocios Now Who's Who Chicago List.
